Arkham City is upon us. Rocksteady’s dark knight returns with a lot on his mind and in his inventory. Set three years after the events of Arkham Asylum, the city of Gotham has a new mayor by the name of Quincy Sharp who was formerly a warden of the asylum. Sharp has unleashed all the prisoners of the asylum into the streets of the city and employed military to safeguard parts of the metroplis in order to bring down the human bat – as you may have probably guessed by now, he is the antagonist of this sequel.

As things always go, it’s not as straightforward as is seems, as the game sees the uprise of comic’s bad guy Two Face, the ever so illusive Hugo Strange, Penguin, Talia al Ghul, Mr. Freeze and loads more. Batman is armed as usual with his trusty gadgets and apparently there are some new additions to his arsenal along with sidekicks, Catwoman and Robin whom are playable.

Gameplay is open world and quick paced, the occasional stealth gameplay is more frequent due to the large number of henchmen. Also, The Joker is back along with his trusty sidekick Harley Quinn but their roles in the game and still not known. Release date for Europe is October 21st and for North America it’s October 18th, Out on Microsoft Windows, PS3, Xbox 360 and when it’s out, the Wii U(2012).
