Reports emerged about a month ago, that Google+ was going to take on Facebook on the social gaming side. Google said they will offer developers cheaper publishing fees and even host the games on Google’s servers.

Google announced via a blog post that it has launched an initial set of games for Google+ users. The games include Angry Birds, Bejeweled Blitz and Zynga Poker. The games will be rolled out gradually and will get to all users soon.

To access the games, click the games button at the top of your stream. Users will be able to see the latest game updates from other users in their circles, browse invites and see games that people in the circles have played recently. The Games page will also show accomplishments such as highscores and levels attained.

Google+ has seen phenomenal growth in its user base in the last 2 months, growing up to 18Million users, faster than Facebook and Twitter did.
